My relationship with news was shaped early. Growing up, my father would quiz me on the headlines every Sunday at family breakfast. Since then, listening to briefings has been part of my daily mantra — earbuds in, audio on, always looking for new ways to stay informed.

Acta is the product I’ve wanted to exist for years.

Kathleen grew up between Asia and Europe — Hong Kong, China, Germany, the UK — and has been moving ever since. Wherever she lands, news is the first thing that helps her feel rooted: a way to keep up with where she just left, where she is, and where she’s headed next.

At Acta she leads the data work — which topics resonate, how briefings perform, and what the numbers say about how people actually use the product day to day.
